The carbon emission of the Undone Corset has been calculated in collaboration with the Doconomy. The entire carbon emission of this belt includes the entire lifespan of the animal’s methane emissions, all transportation and production. Déhanche has calculated the carbon emission as 31.33kg CO2e, or 0.04 tons, a number we strive to reduce. Based on the recommendation of Doconomy, we have benchmarked our internal carbon tax at $130 per ton. For each belt purchased, we are committed to donating $4 to impactful microprojects that reduce and remove CO2 in collaboration with Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund.

The Undone Corset Buckle is handcrafted in Italy with smooth italian sheepskin leather and our signature beige velvety nubuck leather backing. Crafted from zamak, the metal hardware is coated in nickel-free silver that is safe for those with metal allergens.
