Carbon Offset
The carbon emission of the Mini Hutch belt has been calculated in collaboration with the Doconomy. The entire carbon emission of this belt includes the entire lifespan of the animal’s methane emissions, all transportation and production. Déhanche has calculated the carbon emission as 23.99kg CO2e, or 0.03 tons, a number we strive to reduce. Based on the recommendation of Doconomy, we have benchmarked our internal carbon tax at $130 per ton. For each belt purchased, we are committed to donating $1 to impactful microprojects that reduce and remove CO2 in collaboration with Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund.

The Mini Hutch belt is handcrafted in Italy with smooth Italian calfskin leather and our signature beige velvety nubuck leather backing. The hardware accessories are custom designed and molded using zamak alloy metal and coated in shiny 24k gold.
